Our Hospice Services

Ava’s House

Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, offers 24/7 care and support to patients and their families. The facility has 16 adult and four pediatric patient suites.

We offer palliative care services and unique therapeutic options in a home-like environment. Our facility encourages family and friends to spend as much time as possible with patients. Each adult suite has an adjacent family room with a sleeper sofa where a loved one can spend the night free of charge.

Volunteer with Us

Sanford Health has volunteer opportunities available at Ava’s House, Sanford Hospice Cottages, long-term care facilities and in-home care. If you’re looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity, we have a position for you.

Our volunteers work behind the scenes, offer companionship to patients, perform administrative tasks and give respite to full-time caregivers. Certified or licensed volunteers are welcome to provide their services. We have volunteers that offer pet therapy, haircuts or styling, massages and more.
