Sanford Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Sioux Falls is certified by the Joint Commission. Our location has also been designated a Blue Distinction Center for hip and knee replacement by Wellmark.

In 2020, U.S. News & World Report recognized our program as a high performer for hip and knee replacements. We’ve also been recognized as the highest scoring orthopedic program in the state.

Orthopedic surgery: Our fellowship-trained surgeons offer procedures that focus on your recovery. From diagnosis to surgery to rehabilitation, we’re here for you through it all.

Sports medicine: Sanford Health’s sports medicine specialists are experienced in working with athletes of all levels. Many providers are the official partners of several D1 teams and local colleges and universities.

To name a few of our partners, we work with the University of South Dakota, South Dakota State University and Augustana University. Our specialists also support local athletes at community schools for on-site athletic training.

Concussion Services

We’re proud to have concussion specialists on our team. Concussion specialists offer expert assessment, management and treatment for concussions. We work with professional, collegiate, high school and youth athletes to prevent and treat concussions.

Our team now offers concussion baseline testing. Kids ages 10 and older need to be screened every one to two years. Adults need one baseline test. If the patient later suffers a concussion, we’ll use the baseline test results to get them back to where they were prior to the injury.

Concussion baseline testing takes 30 to 40 minutes and costs $40.
