Our Highest Level of Care – Just for Kids

The Sanford Children’s Specialty Clinic offers advanced care and technology in an environment that helps ease the scariness of being sick. Our kid-friendly spaces are specially designed for comfort.

We believe in a family-centered approach to healing and view parents as valued members of the care team. Research shows that when a family is engaged in their child’s care, they heal better and faster. For additional support, our team offers parenting services, as well as an on-site chapel and spiritual care team.

Child life specialists partner with our providers to help children understand what is going on. They empower patients and their families through programs, activities and support groups, helping to ease fears and concerns.

We’re located on the first floor of Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls. With access to additional specialists, support services, the NICU, PICU or our pediatric inpatient unit, whatever your child may need is conveniently located in one place.

NOTICE: Construction in Progress
A new Sanford Orthopedics Hospital is being constructed next to the Sanford Children's Hospital. Due to this construction, patients and visitors to the Sanford Children's Hospital and Sanford Children's Specialty Clinic should use new parking and entrance areas.

We highly encourage all patients, visitors and families to take advantage of our convenient valet services at the main entrance of the Sanford Children's Hospital. These services are available on Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Please refer to the provided map for parking areas, entrances and the valet location.
