Research and Grants
Sanford believes that transparency, between the research investigator, the public, and the institution, is the key to proper oversight of financial conflicts of interests pertaining to research.
Sanford recognizes the essential relationship between researchers and drug, medical device, and biotechnology agent manufacturers. However, such relationships may give rise to a Conflict of Interest (COI) having the potential to interfere with the integrity of the research and the protection of human or animal subjects. In order to eliminate or minimize any such bias, Sanford requires that researchers disclose any financial, professional, or personal interests that are related to their Institutional Responsibilities.
