Caring for Sick Newborns
As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Kim Haug works with Neonatologists and other team members taking care of premature and critically ill newborn babies in the NICU.
She cares for infants with a range of conditions including:
- Prematurity
- Respiratory failure
- Congenital anomalies
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy
- Seizures
- Congenital heart disease
- Sepsis
She specializes in resuscitation and stabilization of infants at birth, and serves as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor.
