Brenda Thurlow, MD

A Specialist in Children’s Care

Dr. Brenda Thurlow specializes in the health needs of infants, children and adolescents. Her services include monitoring their growth and development and diagnosing and treating diseases. She also specializes in diabetes management in this age group. 

She provides:

• Acute childhood illness treatment

• General pediatric preventive health care

• General primary care

• Health education and counseling

• Obtaining a patient's medical history

• Ordering, performing and interpreting lab and diagnostic tests

• Performing physical exams

• Prescribing medications

• Treating common illnesses

• Well child care

Dr. Thurlow also helps patients manage diabetes, including using technology such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

She also serves as medical director, American Diabetes Association Camp Sioux; chapter breastfeeding coordinator and CATCH facilitator for the North Dakota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics; and assistant professor of medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
