Idea of Care

I believe in helping my patients through a more whole-body approach to health and healing. Our bodies are fantastic at healing, so long as we remove obstacles. Sometimes that is an illness or injury; sometimes it’s a bad habit or attitude. I love using osteopathic manipulation to improve structure and function when appropriate. I find it helps with so many things, from pain to gait mechanics to general well-being. I find using several tools can be incredibly helpful in achieving good results. I strongly support using healthy habits (good foods, exercise, stress relief) to improve our lives.

Personal Interests

Dr. Hetland enjoys cooking, hiking, running with her dog and snowshoeing. She looks forward to trying cross-country skiing. When the weather is bad, she reads, knits and watches movies.
